He earned his bachelor degree (S.Si) from Department of Biology, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 2014, majoring in Ecology and Biosystematics, focusing on biodiversity and feeding activity of amphibians. Since 2011, he has been involved in several surveys and researches in Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java, Bali and Papua.
